Macromedia has released the new version of the Extension Manager (1.4)

Macromedia say

Then, if you want install some extensions on Flash Mx, you must absolutley download this new version of Extension Manager ;)

You can download it from Macromedia site; in this page (
http://dynamic.macromedia.com/bin/MM/exchange/main.jsp?product=flash )

Good morning Sephiroth :)

My English teacher'ld say : "I'm sorry for you"

I'm using Win 2k pro, and with this OS the newest version of Extension Manager is ok...

In effect, on her site, Macromedia says

System Requirements: The Extension Manager requires Mac OS 8.6 or higher, Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME or NT, 6 MB additional hard drive space, 10 MB additional RAM and at least one of the following products

Windows Xp is not included (even if it'ld have the same kernel of Win 2k, I believe..)...

I think that Macromedia not know this bug...in effect at page

http://www.macromedia.com/support/extension_manager/releasenotes/1/releasenotes_1_4.htm

this bug is not included...
Or your Os has a problem (try to reinstall the Extension Manager :)) or it's a not reported bug :(

You MUST can test your extension...you're a Flash's wizard !

I did not have any problems installing this new version on my Windows XP Pro box. I have the english version.

Thought you might want to know that it works on some XPs.

Why the old extensions for Flash 5 aren't recognized by Flash MX ?

Flash MX extensions are stored in a different folder.
Usually in C:/Document and settings/{user name}/Application Data/Macromedia/Flash MX/Configuration/Libraries

Try to copy your old flash 5 extensions to that folder.

I have tried install the extension "ss_v_sliding_menu" in my extension manager 1.4 for Mac and it doesn't show in the window.

What I'm doing wrong?

Can you help me?
